1. Newcomers
Newcomer’s Ministry helps the newcomers to get plugged into the church by welcoming and introducing them to the members of the church, and by building a loving relationship with them. Our vision is to welcome, bless, and love the newcomers by sharing God’s truths and our lives together. Our hope is to become like the church in the book of Acts, and to be able to welcome each and every person that enters the church with Christ like love and affection.
2. Small Groups
There are various small group ministries at New Heart Mission Church. From College Group to Young Adult Group, and from Men’s Group to Women’s Group, the different small groups are tailor-made for the appropriate demographic. However, all the small groups are one in the same: their purpose is to shine the glory of God through teaching, reading, praying, and discussing. Small groups is opened to everyone and meet regularly, whether it is once a week or once every other week.
3. Pre-Discipleship
The focus of the various Pre-Discipleship classes is to equip men and women in better knowing God and understanding what He is trying to communicate to us through His word. With that said, there are a wide variety of Pre-Discipleship classes that have different intensive focuses, such as Experiencing God class, Foundations class, Attributes of God class… etc. Pre-Discipleship is a wonderful launching pad to grow in intimacy with Christ.
4. Discipleship
Discipleship Training moves beyond the academics of the classroom setting, as the ministry is committed to raise lovers and followers of Christ, through the Word of God, prayer, and fellowship with the saints. It is about knowing Christ and following Him, in response to His great love towards us, sharing Christ with others (evangelism) and learning to take care of His sheep, so that they too may walk with Christ (discipleship). It is not just a program or the “next-step” after pre-discipleship classes, but a lifestyle that we are called to live wholly devoted to Christ, abiding in His word and actively living out our faith. The ministry can be best described as one discipler saying to another, “Follow me as I follow Christ.”
Outreach
Evangelism
Being a witness is not something that we do, but is something that we are. Carrying the exclusive message of salvation and of reconciliation to God, we must shine the light of Christ through the testimony of our lives. Together as a church, we reserve certain days of the month to share the gospel with our community through gospel tracts and engaging in conversation.
Light of Love America (LOLA)
LOLA (Light of Love America) Ministry is one of the key ministries of New Heart Mission Church that reaches out to non-believers and to those who have a desire to grow and mature in their faith. The equivalent to what a “retreat” is to other churches, LOLA is a biannual event that is held once in English and once in Korean, and is rooted in prayer and centered in the gospel to reach out/minister to the lost souls. Our hope is for souls to be won by Christ and for people to pursue a committed covenant relationship with the Living God. We also hope for family members to be restored in Christ. LOLA Ministry is held once every year in August for the English Congregation of NHMC.
Foreign Missions
With the heart of our missionary God, from the beginning New Heart has been active in supporting and sending missionaries to different parts of the world—both short term and long term. Involved in missions in Africa, the Philippines, and in London, New Heart strives to play an active role in fulfilling the Great Commission, which is to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19). Currently, Uganda is the home to our beloved Missionary Ruth and the New Heart Global Mission Center.
